Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of basmati rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

1. Rinse the Rice:

Before cooking the rice, it’s important to rinse it to remove any excess starch. Place the basmati rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse it under cold water until the water runs clear.

2. Infuse the Flavors:

In the Thermomix bowl, add the cloves, cinnamon stick, and olive oil. Cook at 100°C for 2 minutes to infuse the flavors into the oil.

3. Add the Rice and Water:

Once the flavors are infused, add the rinsed basmati rice to the Thermomix bowl. Pour in the water and season with salt to taste. Cook at 100°C for 10 minutes.

4. Steam the Rice:

After cooking for 10 minutes, reduce the temperature to 90°C and cook for an additional 10 minutes to steam the rice and allow it to absorb all the flavors.

5. Fluff and Serve:

Once the rice is cooked, remove the cloves and cinnamon stick from the bowl. Fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains and serve hot.
