Delightfully Tangy and Creamy: Thermomix Recipe for Lemon and Greek Yogurt Dessert
Welcome to this delightful recipe for a tangy and creamy dessert made with lemon and Greek yogurt. This refreshing dessert is perfect for any occasion and can be easily prepared using a Thermomix. The combination of tangy lemon and smooth Greek yogurt creates a perfect balance of flavors that will leave you wanting more.
Ingredients:
- 3 lemons
- 500g Greek yogurt
- 200g condensed milk
- 200g heavy cream
- 100g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
- 200ml water
Preparation:
Step 1: Preparing the Lemon Zest
Start by zesting the lemons to extract their fragrant and tangy zest. Use a fine grater or a lemon zester to carefully remove the zest from the lemons. Be sure to only remove the yellow part of the skin, avoiding the bitter white pith. Set the lemon zest aside for later use.
Step 2: Squeezing the Lemon Juice
Cut the zested lemons in half and squeeze out all the juice. Strain the lemon juice to remove any seeds or pulp. Set the lemon juice aside for later use.
Step 3: Preparing the Gelatin
In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin powder in 200ml of water. Stir well until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Let it sit for a few minutes to bloom.
Step 4: Mixing the Yogurt Mixture
In the Thermomix bowl, add the Greek yogurt, condensed milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and the lemon zest. Mix all the ingredients together on speed 3 for 1 minute, or until well combined and smooth.
Step 5: Adding the Gelatin
With the Thermomix still running on speed 3, gradually pour in the gelatin mixture through the opening in the lid. Continue mixing for another 30 seconds to ensure the gelatin is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Step 6: Incorporating the Lemon Juice
While the Thermomix is still running on speed 3, slowly pour in the strained lemon juice through the opening in the lid. Mix for an additional 30 seconds to incorporate the lemon juice into the mixture.
Step 7: Chilling the Dessert
Pour the yogurt mixture into individual serving glasses or a large dessert dish. Place the dessert in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours, or until set and firm.
Step 8: Serving and Garnishing
Once the dessert is fully chilled and set, it is ready to be served. You can garnish it with additional lemon zest, fresh berries, or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence. Enjoy this delightfully tangy and creamy lemon and Greek yogurt dessert!
