- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 can (24 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 pound spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Preparation:
1. Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Preheat your Monsieur Cuisine to 350°F (175°C).
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
2. Prepare the Tomato Sauce
In a large saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil. Stir well to combine.
Cook the sauce over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Cook the Spaghetti
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, or until al dente.
4. Assemble the Dish
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the tomato sauce and let them simmer together for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
Drain the cooked spaghetti and divide it among serving plates.
Top the spaghetti with the meatballs and sauce, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
5. Serve and Enjoy!
Pair this delicious spaghetti and meatballs dish with a glass of your favorite wine and enjoy a romantic dinner inspired by ‘Lady and the Tramp’ right in your own home. Buon appetito!
