Indulge in a Taste of Heaven with Tocino de Cielo con Olla GM

Tocino de Cielo is a traditional Spanish dessert that translates to «Heaven’s Bacon.» This rich and decadent dessert is similar to flan but with a unique texture and flavor that will transport you straight to heaven. With the help of an Olla GM, you can easily make this heavenly treat at home. Follow this recipe to indulge in a taste of heaven with Tocino de Cielo con Olla GM.

Ingredients:

6 large eggs

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Preparation:

1. Prepare the Caramel:

In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture starts to caramelize. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Once the caramel reaches a golden brown color, remove it from heat and pour it into the bottom of a round cake pan.

Temperature: Medium heat

Time: 10-15 minutes

2. Make the Tocino de Cielo Mixture:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest until well combined. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the cake pan.

3. Cook in Olla GM:

Place the cake pan with the Tocino de Cielo mixture into the Olla GM. Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the Olla GM to create a water bath. Close the lid and set the Olla GM to «Pressure Cook» mode.

Temperature: High pressure

Time: 15 minutes

4. Release Pressure and Cool:

Once the cooking time is up, release the pressure manually and carefully remove the cake pan from the Olla GM. Allow the Tocino de Cielo to cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.

5. Serve and Enjoy:

When ready to serve, run a knife around the edge of the cake pan to loosen the Tocino de Cielo. Place a serving plate on top of the pan and invert it to release the dessert onto the plate. Slice and serve this heavenly treat to indulge in a taste of heaven with Tocino de Cielo con Olla GM.
