Delicious and Easy: Portuguese Cream Tart Recipe Made with Thermomix
Portuguese Cream Tarts, also known as Pastéis de Nata, are a popular Portuguese pastry that consists of a flaky crust filled with a rich custard. In this recipe, we will show you how to make these delicious tarts using a Thermomix, which will make the process even easier and faster.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 500ml milk
- 6 egg yolks
- 100g sugar
- 40g cornstarch
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 lemon peel
Preparation:
Step 1: Preparing the Custard
In the Thermomix bowl, add the milk, egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix on speed 4 for 10 seconds.
Add the cinnamon stick and lemon peel to the bowl. Cook at 90°C for 7 minutes on speed 4.
Temperature: 90°C, Time: 7 minutes
Step 2: Rolling Out the Puff Pastry
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface until it is about 2mm thick. Cut the pastry into squares that are slightly larger than the size of your tart molds.
Step 3: Shaping the Tarts
Grease the tart molds with butter and line them with the puff pastry squares, pressing gently to make sure they fit snugly.
Pour the custard mixture into each tart mold until they are about three-quarters full.
Step 4: Baking the Tarts
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Bake the tarts in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the custard is set.

Step 5: Serving the Tarts
Once the tarts are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the tarts before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
