Delight Your Taste Buds with a Homemade Strawberry and Orange Jam Recipe using Thermomix
Are you ready to experience a burst of flavors in your mouth? This homemade strawberry and orange jam recipe will surely delight your taste buds. The perfect combination of sweet strawberries and tangy oranges creates a delicious jam that can be enjoyed on toast, scones, or as a filling for pastries. With the help of Thermomix, the preparation becomes effortless, and the result is a jam that will impress your family and friends.
Ingredients:
- 500g fresh strawberries
- 2 large oranges
- 400g granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preparation:
1. Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Slice them into small pieces and set aside. Peel the oranges, removing the pith, and cut them into segments. Remove any seeds and chop the segments into small pieces. Set aside.
2. Cook the Strawberries and Oranges
In your Thermomix, add the chopped strawberries, oranges, and lemon juice. Cook for 5 minutes at 100°C on speed 1.
3. Add the Sugar
Add the granulated sugar to the strawberry and orange mixture. Cook for an additional 10 minutes at 100°C on speed 2. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally to ensure even cooking.
4. Blend the Mixture
After the 10 minutes, increase the speed to speed 5 and blend the mixture for 10 seconds. This will help create a smoother texture for your jam.
5. Cook the Jam
Reduce the temperature to 90°C and cook the jam for 25 minutes on speed 2. Remember to place the measuring cup on the lid to prevent any splatters.
6. Test the Jam
To check if the jam has reached the desired consistency, place a small amount on a chilled plate and let it cool for a few seconds. If it sets and wrinkles when pushed with your finger, it is ready. If not, continue cooking for a few more minutes.
7. Sterilize the Jars
While the jam is cooking, sterilize your jars and lids by placing them in boiling water for a few minutes. Remove them from the water and let them air dry.
8. Jar and Store the Jam
Once the jam has reached the desired consistency, carefully pour it into the sterilized jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top. Seal the jars tightly with the lids while the jam is still hot. Let them cool completely before storing them in a cool, dark place.
Now you have a delicious homemade strawberry and orange jam ready to be enjoyed! Spread it on your favorite bread or use it as a filling for pastries. This jam also makes a wonderful gift for your loved ones.
